THE ROLE MODELS WE BUILD FOR.
Behind every project is a person who has given something to this community. We build for them — and we build because of them.
Role models aren't celebrities. They're the people in your neighborhood who show up, sacrifice, and serve — often without recognition. They're the teacher who stays late, the veteran who came home changed, the single parent holding everything together. Remodeling for Role Models exists to honor them in a tangible way: by improving the homes they live in and the spaces they serve from.
Veterans & Active Military
Those who served our country deserve a safe, comfortable home to return to. We prioritize veterans — especially those dealing with service-related disabilities, limited income, or housing instability — for our community remodel projects.
Examples include
- Combat veterans transitioning to civilian life
- Disabled veterans needing accessibility modifications
- Military families managing deployments and housing challenges
Educators & School Staff
Teachers, counselors, coaches, and school staff pour themselves into our children every day. We recognize educators who go above and beyond — in the classroom and in the community — with home improvements that give them a place to recharge.
Examples include
- Teachers who fund their own classroom supplies
- School counselors supporting at-risk youth
- Coaches and mentors who volunteer their time
First Responders
Firefighters, EMTs, police officers, and emergency workers run toward danger so the rest of us don't have to. We support first responders — especially those facing hardship — with the home repairs and upgrades they've earned.
Examples include
- First responders recovering from on-duty injuries
- Emergency workers with aging or unsafe housing
- Volunteer firefighters and EMTs serving rural communities
Single Parents
Raising children alone while working, managing a home, and staying present takes extraordinary strength. We support single parents — especially those in low-income situations — with repairs and improvements that make their homes safer and more functional.
Examples include
- Single mothers in aging or unsafe housing
- Single fathers managing home repairs alone
- Parents working multiple jobs with no time or budget for maintenance
Seniors & Elders
Our elders built this community. Many are now living on fixed incomes in homes that need attention they can't afford. We help seniors age in place safely — with accessibility upgrades, critical repairs, and the dignity they deserve.
Examples include
- Seniors needing grab bars, ramps, or walk-in showers
- Elders with deferred maintenance and safety hazards
- Grandparents raising grandchildren on limited income
Community Servants
Pastors, nonprofit workers, community organizers, coaches, and volunteers who dedicate their lives to others. These are the quiet leaders who hold neighborhoods together — and we want to hold them up in return.
Examples include
- Nonprofit founders and community organizers
- Faith leaders serving underserved congregations
- Volunteers who give hundreds of hours each year
